The company develops, designs, constructs, and manages housing communities across the country. Founded in 1990 by Jeffrey Woda, it has grown to own and operate more than 375 properties and 19,000 housing units.

Woda Cooper Companies, Inc. was founded in 1990 by Jeffrey Woda as Woda Construction and Development, initially building single-family homes and apartments. David Cooper, Jr. served as legal counsel from inception and joined full time in 2003. The partnership formed The Woda Group, Inc. and eventually became Woda Cooper Companies. The company focuses on developing affordable housing using the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit program.
