Overview

Westland Helicopters was a major British helicopter manufacturer, formed in 1961 from the Westland Aircraft Company. It produced various military and civil helicopters, including the Lynx and Sea King. In 2000 it merged with Italian Agusta to form AgustaWestland, later part of Leonardo.
