Links were established through municipalities including Conselheiro Lafaiete and Juiz de Fora, and transmission equipment was installed on Serra do Curral after being inherited from the former broadcaster. The original studios operated from a compact three-story building on Rua Rio de Janeiro in central Belo Horizonte. As the station expanded its production and transmission role, its signal gradually reached additional municipalities across Minas Gerais. The later establishment of other Globo affiliates and retransmission operations redistributed parts of the state's coverage, but TV Globo Minas continued to serve as the principal Globo station for Belo Horizonte and a large surrounding area. A major facilities change occurred in July 1995, when the station opened a 6,600-square-metre studio complex in the Caiçara neighborhood.
