Tsuneishi Miho Shipbuilding

Tsuneishi Miho Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. is a Japanese shipbuilder headquartered in Shimizu-ku, Shizuoka City. It was established in May 1919 (Taisho 8). The company builds and repairs various ships and fabricates steel structures. It operates three main facilities: the Miho plant (headquarters), the Niigata plant, and the Misaki plant. In 2025, the company changed its name from Miho Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. to Tsuneishi Miho Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. and integrated Niigata Shipbuilding Co., Ltd.

Tsuneishi Miho Shipbuilding traces its origins to 1919 when it was founded at Miho Misaki, launching its first ship 'Mihama Maru'. In 1936, it moved its main factory to the current Miho Honcho location. In 1970, the Misaki plant began operations in Miura, Kanagawa. In 2003, Niigata Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. was established, succeeding the shipbuilding business from Niigata Engineering Co., Ltd. In 2016, the company strengthened its capital relationship with Tsuneishi Holdings (now Tsuneishi Group Co., Ltd.) and came under the Tsuneishi Group. In 2025, the company changed its name to Tsuneishi Miho Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. and integrated Niigata Shipbuilding Co., Ltd.
