History
The foundation was established in April 1987 as the Terumo Science and Technology Promotion Foundation. In 2012, it transitioned to a public interest incorporated foundation. In 2015, it changed its name to Terumo Foundation for Life Sciences and Arts, and in 2019 to Terumo Life Science Foundation.
