Stockyards Brewing

Stockyards Brewing Co. is a craft brewery located in the Stockyards District of Kansas City, Missouri. It was opened in 2016 with the purpose of making good, unpretentious beer for hardworking people, and it took over the space in the summer of 2015 to restore the historic Stockyards District landmark.

In the summer of 2015, Stockyards Brewing Co. took over the space in an effort to restore the rich history and nostalgia of the Stockyards District, which had fallen into disrepair after fires and floods. The original Golden Ox restaurant was opened in 1949 on the first floor of the Livestock Exchange building, and much of its original character and decor lives on in the bar and taproom.
