History
Schubert & Salzer was founded in 1883 in Chemnitz. In 1885, the Royal Gun Foundry and the Royal Main Laboratory began their work in Ingolstadt. In 1889, the company of Carl Schubert and Bruno Salzer was converted into Chemnitzer Wirkmaschinenfabrik AG. In 1904, the company was renamed Schubert & Salzer.
