It was founded in 2002 in Austin, Texas as Roscoe Property Management with just 10 units under management. The company operates a wide variety of residential rental real estate in conventional, senior, and affordable property types, with over 240,000 units under management in 50+ submarkets and corporate offices in Austin, Atlanta, and Phoenix.

RPM Living was founded in 2002 in Austin, Texas as Roscoe Property Management with just 10 units under management. In 2018, after working out of a residential house, the company moved into its three-story corporate headquarters in North Austin. In 2019, it acquired B/K Multifamily Services and set a record of 90 takeovers for the year. In 2020, it debuted on the NMHC Top 50 Managers list at No. 42 with 38K units, and in October, acquired Phoenix-based Maverick Residential and opened the new Phoenix regional office.
