History
The history of RhönSprudel dates back to 1781 when the Stahlquelle was first tapped. In 1812, the Weyherser Stahlbrunnen was founded. In 1895, the brand name RhönSprudel was registered. In 1911, Philipp Schindel bought the source, establishing the family tradition. In 1948, Ernst Schindel rebuilt the business after World War II. In 1989, Egon Schindel took over in the third generation and expanded the company into the RhönSprudel Group. In 2022, the company became the center of ALMA Group's activities in Germany.
