Paton is an Italian motorcycle manufacturer based in Milan, producing racing motorcycles for over 60 years. Founded by Giuseppe Pattoni, the company has a history of success in competitions and the MotoGP World Championship. In late 2016, Paton was acquired by SC-Project, and under new owners Stefano Lavazza and Marco De Rossi, it returned to racing, achieving multiple TT victories.
History
Paton was founded by Giuseppe Pattoni and has been designing and building racing motorcycles since 1958. The company has played a primary role in competitions and the MotoGP World Championship. At the end of 2016, Paton was acquired by SC-Project, a leading manufacturer of motorcycle exhaust systems. The new owners, Stefano Lavazza and Marco De Rossi, together with the historic Team Paton, initiated significant investments to bring Paton back to racing. In 2017, a renewed version of the Paton S1-R competed in the TT with Bonetti and Rutter, achieving a historic victory. The company has won the TT in 2017, 2018, 2019, 2022, 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026.
