History
Parker Hannifin traces its origins to Arthur L. Parker's Parker Appliance Company, established in 1917. The company initially concentrated on pneumatic braking systems for buses, trucks, and trains. After a 1919 accident destroyed its inventory, Parker temporarily left the business and returned to it in 1924.
