Neschen Coating GmbH is an internationally leading company for modern self-adhesive products and high-quality coated media for various applications in book protection and repair, graphic media, and industrial coatings. The company has a worldwide sales network. Its product range includes finishing, protective and mounting films, printable media, and self-adhesive films and papers for book protection, repair, and care. Neschen also provides working materials and processing equipment for libraries, archives, and museums.

The origins of the company date back to 1889, when pharmacist Georg König founded a special factory for pharmaceutical preparations in Bückeburg. Initially, medical plasters, ointments, and elastic capsules were produced. After World War II, the first self-adhesive films for book protection were produced. Hans Neschen, who joined the company in 1946, introduced a new era by switching the product program to plastic films. The company became known for the 'Bückeburger Buchhaut'. Between 1965 and 1989, the foundations for two plants were laid, which existed until the end of 2018.
