History
Moja Coffee was founded in the basement of a home in North Vancouver by Doug Finley and Andrew Wentzel. The company was named in spring 2004, taking the Swahili word for 'one'. Its first location was near Capilano Mall in North Vancouver, where operations began in April 2004. In spring 2008, it moved to its current facility on Rupert Street, opening its first cafe there. Later, it expanded with a second cafe on Commercial Drive.
