Millers Oils

Millers Oils is a highly innovative independent blender of market-leading advanced oils and treatments, based in Brighouse, West Yorkshire. The company was founded in 1887 and has a history of providing creative lubrication solutions for some of the world’s best-known brands.

Millers Oils was built on a promise of uncompromising quality. In 1888, John Watson Miller purchased the business for £265 and renamed it J.W. Miller & Son. The company was founded in Brighouse, West Yorkshire in 1887. In the 1900s, Millers Oils produced the first long drain interval engine oil for trucks. In the 1920s, the flagship product Pistoneeze was launched. In the 1930s, natural multigrade oils were introduced. In the 1950s, power-saving lubricants for the textile industry were launched, and new offices were opened in 1952. In the 1960s, a Fuel Oil Distribution Service was launched and a Heating Division was built. In the 1970s, the company continued to grow despite a shaky economy.
