Marubun

Marubun is an electronics trading company (sōshō) that handles semiconductors such as ICs and electronic applied equipment, as well as other advanced electronics products from Japan and abroad. The company was established in 1947.

Marubun was established in 1947. According to the company's history page, in 1947, Horikoshi Goshi Kaisha and Chūzen Shōji Co., Ltd. merged to establish Marubun Corporation with a capital of 7.03 million yen. The company's origins trace back to 1844 when a kimono wholesaler called 'Horikoshi' (shop name 'Marubun') was founded at the current head office location.
