History
Loop Industries was founded in 2014. Over the past 10 years, it has developed, perfected, and patented its technology. It has been operating its production facility in Canada for 5 years. In December 2024, Loop sold its first technology license to Reed Societe Generale Group to build an Infinite Loop™ manufacturing facility in Europe. The first international expansion will be a 70kta facility in India, with operations set to begin in 2028. In 2025, Loop signed an offtake agreement with Nike for Twist™, establishing Nike as the anchor customer for the Infinite Loop™ India. It also signed an offtake agreement with Taro Plast for Loop™ DMT, and formed strategic alliances with Hyosung TNC and Shinkong Synthetic Fibers. In 2026, Infinite Loop Europe selected BASF Industriepark Lausitz in Schwarzheide, Germany, as the site for its inaugural European manufacturing facility.
