KOBIL Systems is a German information security company founded in 1986 by Ismet Koyun. It provides digital trust infrastructure, enabling organizations to build their own trusted business ecosystems with identity, payments, and chat built in. KOBIL was founded in Germany in 1986 by Ismet Koyun with an initial focus on PC and data security. In 1994, KOBIL provided the chip technology behind AKBİL, Istanbul's electronic transit ticketing system. In 1996, KOBIL developed and introduced KOBIL SecOVID and KOBIL Smart Key, authentication and PKI solutions. In 1997, KOBIL developed KOBIL Info Terminal, public information terminals for German cities.
