Kato Models

KATO is the model railroad brand of Sekisui Kinzoku Co., Ltd., a Japanese company whose business is the planning, manufacture and sale of "KATO" N-gauge and HO-gauge model railroad products. The company is headquartered in Nishi-Ochiai, Shinjuku, Tokyo, and its representative director is Hiroshi Kato. Its related group includes Kato Co., Ltd., Hobby Center Kato, KATO U.S.A., INC. and KATO Europe A/S.

Sekisui Kinzoku Co., Ltd., the company behind the KATO brand, was established in August of Showa 32 (1957). Its business consists of the planning, manufacture and sale of "KATO" N-gauge and HO-gauge model railroad products. The company's headquarters is located at 1-24-10 Nishi-Ochiai, Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, and it also operates the Tsurugigaoka Factory (SEKISUI WORKS) in Tsurugashima, Saitama, and the Fujimi Factory, which was renamed from the Saitama Factory in June 2026.
