Indofil

Indofil Industries Limited is an Indian company engaged in agricultural chemicals and specialty/performance chemicals. It has a strong domestic base and international presence, with exports to more than 120 countries as suppliers of Mancozeb formulations. The company operates through Agricultural Chemicals (ABD) and Indofil Innovative Solutions (IIS) businesses, and also has an initiative called IndoLife Super Specialities.

Indofil Chemicals Limited was incorporated in 1962 as a subsidiary of Rohm & Haas Co., USA. In 1965, the first EBDC plant was commissioned at Thane with capacity of 1500 MT for production of Mancozeb, Zineb and Maneb. In 1972, the first expansion increased EBDC plant capacity to 3000 MT. In 1983, product management concept was introduced. In 1986, a Crop Care concept was introduced. In 1991, Mancozeb 75 WP was re-introduced under the brand name Indofil M-45. In 1992, the first container of Mancozeb 80 WP was shipped to Holland. In 1993, the first International Registration was received for Indofil M-45 in Bangladesh. In 1994, the second expansion of EBDC plant capacity at Thane to 14000 MT. In 1996, the first European registration was received in Belgium for Mancozeb 80 WP. In 2002, the third expansion of EBDC plant at Thane to produce 18000 MT of EBDC. In 2003, the first synthesis plant was commissioned with production of Tricyclazole. In 2004, construction chemical was started as a new vertical in SPCD business. In 2006, Mancozeb was approved for sale in European Union (EU) and R&D received NABL accreditation. In 2007, Analytical Development Laboratory (ADL) of R&D was accredited as per ISO 17025: 2005 by NABL, and Indofil Chemicals Company was separated from Modipon Ltd to become a Division of Indofil Organic Industries Ltd.
