Fass Reisen

Fass Reisen, also known as Fass Busreisen Wilhelmshaven, is a bus company based in Wilhelmshaven, Germany. The company offers a travel program including day trips, scheduled services, vintage buses, and bus rental. It also provides theater transport services. The company was founded in 1965 by Werner Fass.

Fass Reisen was founded on May 1, 1965, by Werner Fass at Altengrodener Weg 118 with a used 41-seater Setra coach. In 1966, the first Paris trip started. In 1967, the company moved to Dodoweg 3 and expanded by taking over the transport business of Friedrich Popken. In 1969, a new Setra bus was purchased, the first coach in the Wilhelmshaven area with double glazing and a flat floor. In 1971, the company expanded by taking over the firm Pirle. In 1972, non-smoking trips were introduced and the company entered scheduled services for the Deutsche Bundesbahn. In 1973, holiday destination traffic to Tyrol, Black Forest, and Spessart was added. In 1975, line 12 started in contract traffic for Stadtwerke Wilhelmshaven. In 1976, the company took over the Wilhelmshaven city tours from the Stadtwerke. In 1979, a new hall for 15 vehicles was built at Dodoweg 7. In 1980, the first Rome trip was conducted. In 1983, the travel program was extended to southern France (Cannes) and the North Cape. In 1988, the company expanded by taking over the firm Evers and provided services for the Landesbühne Niedersachsen Nord. In 1990, the 25th anniversary was celebrated on the Rathausplatz in Wilhelmshaven. In 1991, the company expanded by taking over buses and contracts of A. Meiners, and added Rügen to the travel program. In 1993, the Jade-Express line was opened as a long-distance line to the Harz. In 1994, the company expanded by taking over the firm Johann Hagen in Spetzerfehn.
