Europa Eyewear

Europa Eyewear is an eyewear company based in Vernon Hills, Illinois. It was founded in 1977 by Alan Shapiro and Cynthia Shapiro. The company describes itself as a frame company that puts the ECP (eye care professional) first, blending family heritage and high-quality products with a commitment to helping partners grow. It offers a portfolio of eleven independent eyewear brands and operates an American eyewear factory.

Europa Eyewear was founded in 1977. According to the company's story, it started with one garage, two visionaries, and six frames. Alan Shapiro was a traveling salesman and Cynthia Shapiro handled the rest of the business. The company grew, and the Shapiro family became the Europa Family as they brought on their first hires. Over the past 40 plus years, the company has continued to grow, maintaining principles of supporting independence and helping customers grow their business. The original six frames were the seeds for eleven independent eyewear brands and a first-of-its-kind American eyewear factory.
