DORMA-Glas was founded in 1978 as a subsidiary of DORMA GmbH + Co. KG under the name Dormaglas Vertriebsgesellschaft für Glas-Beschläge und -Konstruktionen mbH. The company is now independent and international, with its headquarters in Bad Salzuflen. It develops and manufactures glass fittings and systems, including door fittings, sliding door systems, and glass partitions. The company emphasizes quality 'Made in Germany' and serves various sectors such as private homes, offices, hotels, and public buildings.

DORMA-Glas was founded in 1978 in Ennepetal as a subsidiary of DORMA GmbH + Co. KG under the name Dormaglas Vertriebsgesellschaft für Glas-Beschläge und -Konstruktionen mbH. In 1987, the company moved to Bad Salzuflen. In 1994, the company's headquarters were officially relocated from Ennepetal to Bad Salzuflen. Over the years, the company expanded its product range and production facilities. In 2015, DORMA (including subsidiaries) merged with Kaba to form dormakaba. In 2026, an investor process concluded successfully, with Phillip Schlossstein and James Roberts becoming the new strategic owners of the DORMA-Glas brand and DG Glas GmbH.
