Overview
Diamondbrite is a brand of professional car paint protection and ceramic coating products. The brand is manufactured by Jewelultra Ltd, which produces a range of specialised chemicals, principally ceramic paint protection coatings for the motor, leisure, motorcycle and marine sectors. Diamondbrite products are sold throughout the UK and abroad.
History
Diamondbrite was developed by Lacroe's chemists in the 1980s as a two-stage process that gave a high gloss protective invisible layer to vehicle paintwork. After testing, it was found to give enhanced protection from bird droppings, tree sap, insect marks, traffic film and the sun's UV rays, and was given a 6-year guarantee. In 1992, the company was relaunched under the name Jewelultra, with John Boseley still the MD. Around that time, regulations were introduced requiring car manufacturers to reduce lead in car paint, making paint thinner and more prone to fading and wear. Diamondbrite was seen as ideal for additional protection, and the company grew steadily over the next 30 years, becoming a household name in paint protection.
