Coniston Brewery is a hand-brewed beer brand based in Coniston in the English Lake District. Its beers include Bluebird Bitter, which won Supreme Champion Beer of Britain in 1998. The brewery was built in 1995 by Ian Bradley, son of the owners of the Black Bull in Coniston.
History
The Coniston Brewing Company was built in 1995 by Ian Bradley, son of the owners of the Black Bull in Coniston. It is located behind the Black Bull in Coniston. Six beers in regular production yield an output of 1600 gallons a week for distribution to 100 customer outlets. Bottled varieties of Bluebird and Old Man are shipped to the U.S.A., Sweden and Hong Kong.

4.0% ABV Asrai is an extremely delicate and pale golden ale, brewed with fine lager and wheat malt, plus a hint of tropical fruits.
Old Man Ale
4.2% ABV A radically different beer... a rich port wine aroma plus a complexity that deepens and changes as you drink it.
Special Oatmeal Stout
4.5% ABV Oats are used to add body, plus complex flavours reminiscent of dark chocolate and coffee
Blacksmiths Ale
5.0% ABV Brewed in memory of Harry Belton, the brewer’s grandfather, who was a blacksmith in Coniston. A rich, strong ale.
