The Fondazione Elisabetta Sgarbi was created in 2009 by Elisabetta Sgarbi, founder and president. It aims to valorize everything that identifies with or revolves around the idea of Art, through support for artistic and cinematic research and cultural growth of new generations. It also promotes literature and the diffusion of reading, and contributes to the valorization of artistic and natural heritage through Cinema. The foundation's heritage includes the house-museum of Ro Ferrarese, the historic pharmacy 'Rina e Nino Sgarbi', and the houses at via Giuoco del Pallone 31 in Ferrara, now Case Cavallini Sgarbi, where Ariosto wrote the first edition of Orlando Furioso (1516). The foundation organizes La Milanesiana.
