Broadcom Software

Broadcom Software is the software operating brand associated with Broadcom Inc., the semiconductor and infrastructure-technology company headquartered in Palo Alto, California. It is not a separately incorporated public company or an independent historical software publisher. The name has been used to organize and market Broadcom's enterprise-software activities, particularly after Broadcom expanded beyond semiconductors through the acquisition of CA Technologies in 2018 and Symantec's enterprise-security business in 2019. Broadcom Software emerged from Broadcom Inc.'s expansion into enterprise software rather than from the creation of a single new software company. CA brought a large installed base in mainframe software, application management, automation, DevOps-related tooling, identity, and systems management.
