In 2013, it completed its first three property acquisitions. In 2015, it raised approximately $150 million in its first Friends & Family club. In 2016, it acquired its headquarters, The Cove, in Solana Beach, CA. From 2015 to 2018, it acquired 16 properties under the Brixton DIRECT program. In 2020, it acquired United Apartment Group (UAG), a property management firm with approximately 30,000 apartments. In 2021, its portfolio surpassed $1 billion in assets under management. In 2022, the 'Brixton Gives Back' initiative was established.
