History
Beta Technologies was incorporated in Vermont in 2017 by Kyle Clark, a pilot, engineer, and entrepreneur. Clark sought to develop electric aircraft that could progress from experimental flight into useful cargo, medical, passenger, and defense operations. To become the company's initial test pilot, he learned to fly helicopters and obtained an FAA powered-lift rating. United Therapeutics became Beta's first identified customer.
