History
The main building's large room and chamber (now the kitchen) and the entrance were probably built in 1737. The parlor part was built later, perhaps in the early 1800s. Coffeehouse activity began in 1939. During the Winter War, the building housed a maternity ward of a midwifery college. After the war, coffeehouse activity continued and has since become known and very popular as Bembölen Kahvitupa.
