Band of the Kyiv Presidential Honor Guard Battalion

The Band of the Kyiv Presidential Honor Guard Battalion is a Ukrainian military music unit associated with the Kyiv Presidential Honor Guard Battalion. It provides ceremonial musical support for official events involving senior Ukrainian state officials, including the President of Ukraine, the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, the Prime Minister, the Minister of Defense, and visiting foreign delegations. The documented directors are Colonel Ivan Moskalenko, who led the band from 1992 to 2000, and Lieutenant Colonel Mikhail Ryabokon, who became director in 2000. The ensemble’s ceremonial uniforms are connected to the honor guard and its parent battalion; festival appearances may use either the honor guard uniform or the broader battalion uniform, including the maroon beret.
