History
Aim Services was established in May 1976. It signed a technical assistance agreement with ARA (now Aramark) and started food service operations at Mitsui & Co. headquarters in November 1976. In 1978, it began hospital food service, implementing Japan's first appropriate temperature and timing service, selective menus, and bedside meal delivery. In 1979, it started school cafeteria operations. In 1980, it began office coffee service. In 1983, it signed a mutual cooperation agreement with ARA. In 1986, it received the first private contract for hospital food service in Tokyo and started food service for social welfare facilities. In 1987, it received the first domestic private contract for special nursing homes. In 1988, it started uniform rental business. In 1990, it started food service for recreational facilities. In 1992, it started total management service for training facilities. In 1994, it started sports & entertainment business, operating the athletes' village cafeteria for the 12th Asian Games in Hiroshima. In 1995, it started mail-order sales of prepared foods for ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease patients. In 1996, it started facility service and total management service for hospitals, and began linen supply. In 1998, it operated the athletes' village cafeteria for the Nagano Winter Olympics and Paralympics. In 1999, it acquired all shares of M.F. Food Service. In 2000, it provided food service for police officers during the Kyushu-Okinawa Summit. In 2002, it established a subsidiary for purchasing management, made Mefos a consolidated subsidiary, and managed food service for the 2002 FIFA World Cup. In 2004, it established a special subsidiary for employing people with disabilities. In 2005, it acquired all shares of Yamato and other subsidiaries. In 2007, it started the first PFI-based food service in a penal institution and signed a license agreement with Starbucks Coffee Japan. In 2008, it started nutrition management cafeteria service at the National Training Center and signed a contract with Hiroshima Toyo Carp for comprehensive food service at the stadium. In 2009, it signed a basic business alliance with Seven-Eleven Japan. In 2010, it received the first private contract for existing penal institutions. In 2013, it participated as a joint researcher at Waseda University's Sports Nutrition Institute. In 2015, it merged four regional subsidiaries into one, started food and merchandise service at Sendai Umino-Mori Aquarium, and launched the 'FRESH BREW' brand. In 2016, it started sports nutrition support for Diamond Athletes certified by the Japan Association of Athletics Federations and signed basic agreements with Miyazaki Prefecture. In 2017, it signed a basic agreement with Miyagi Prefecture. In 2018, it obtained MSC/ASC COC certification, signed a basic agreement with Akita Prefecture, and started a demonstration experiment for 'Kenko Shokushoku Service'. In 2019, it provided catering planning support for the Rugby World Cup 2019. In 2021, it started operations for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics and Paralympics.
