Overview
Agility Global PLC is a Kuwait-based multi-business owner, operator and long-term investor whose portfolio spans logistics, transportation, aviation services, fuel logistics, industrial real estate, e-commerce logistics, remote-site services and public-sector logistics. Although the group’s earlier business identity was closely associated with Agility Logistics, the Agility Global entity represents a broader portfolio following major changes to its operating structure and investment holdings. The company began trading on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange in 2024. Its principal operating businesses include Menzies Aviation, Tristar and Agility Logistics Parks. Menzies Aviation provides aviation ground services and related airport support. Its roots in the wider Agility group trace back to National Aviation Services, which began operating at one Kuwaiti airport in 2003 and expanded across emerging markets in the Middle East and Africa. Agility acquired Menzies Aviation in 2022 and combined it with National Aviation Services, creating a large aviation-services platform by geographic reach. In 2025, Menzies expanded further through the acquisition of G2 Secure Staff. Tristar is a Dubai-based fuel-logistics company founded in 1998. Agility acquired a stake in the business in 2003. Tristar provides fuel transportation, storage and maritime logistics services and operates across multiple continents. Its activities include tanker operations and logistics for energy-sector customers. Agility Logistics Parks develops and operates industrial and logistics real estate in the Middle East, South Asia and Africa. Its portfolio includes warehousing and logistics facilities in markets such as Saudi Arabia, India and Côte d’Ivoire. The business has incorporated energy-efficiency and green-building standards into selected facilities, including EDGE Advanced-certified warehouses in Côte d’Ivoire and Saudi Arabia. Agility Global’s investment portfolio also includes a minority holding in DSV, one of the world’s largest freight-forwarding and logistics companies. This interest arose from the 2021 sale of Agility’s Global Integrated Logistics business to DSV in an all-share transaction. Global Integrated Logistics had been assembled between 2003 and 2020 through more than 40 acquisitions, ultimately forming a network of more than 550 offices in over 100 countries. Agility also holds an interest in Reem Mall, a retail and entertainment development in Abu Dhabi that opened to visitors in 2023. Other businesses associated with the group include Alliad, Agility Defense & Government Services, Shipa, Labco, United Projects for Aviation Services Company and MicroClear by Inspection & Control Services. Together, these operations give Agility Global a portfolio model rather than the profile of a single-service freight-forwarding company. Sustainability is managed through a group-level framework under which operating companies establish sector-specific environmental and social programs. Agility has reported net-zero commitments by 2050 or earlier from businesses representing more than 96% of its workforce and more than 90% of its greenhouse-gas emissions. Its social-impact activities include education, digital skills, humanitarian relief and community investment. The group has also participated in the Logistics Emergency Team since 2006, supporting humanitarian responses coordinated through the United Nations World Food Programme-led Logistics Cluster.
History
Agility Global’s business history combines the development of a Kuwait-based logistics group with later diversification into aviation services, fuel logistics, industrial real estate and strategic investments. The group’s earlier identity was strongly associated with Agility Logistics and its Global Integrated Logistics division, but the present Agility Global structure is broader and is organized around multiple operating companies and investment assets. Aviation services became an important part of the group’s portfolio through National Aviation Services, commonly known as NAS. NAS began operations in Kuwait in 2003 from a single airport and subsequently expanded into aviation-support markets across the Middle East and Africa. In 2022, Agility acquired Menzies Aviation and combined the business with NAS. The transaction created a larger aviation-services platform with a broad international airport network. Menzies Aviation continued its expansion in 2025 through the acquisition of G2 Secure Staff, which increased the combined business’s stated presence to 350 airports in 65 countries. Agility also acquired a stake in Tristar in 2003. Tristar had been founded in Dubai in 1998 and developed into a fuel-logistics company providing transportation, storage and maritime services. Its operations serve energy and industrial customers in numerous countries and include a fleet of more than 20 tankers. The business reported approximately US$1.2 billion in revenue for fiscal 2024 according to the reference material. The group’s logistics-real-estate activities developed under Agility Logistics Parks. Beginning in the Gulf, the platform expanded into the Middle East, India and Africa. In Saudi Arabia, it operates more than 1.5 million square metres of warehousing across Riyadh, Dammam and Jeddah. Selected facilities have pursued high-efficiency building standards. Warehouses in Côte d’Ivoire and Riyadh were described as the first EDGE Advanced-certified logistics facilities in West Africa and the Middle East, respectively. A major structural turning point came in 2021, when Agility sold its Global Integrated Logistics business to the Danish logistics company DSV in an all-shares transaction. Global Integrated Logistics had been built between 2003 and 2020 through more than 40 acquisitions, producing a network of more than 550 offices in over 100 countries. Rather than exiting logistics altogether, Agility received DSV shares and became one of DSV’s significant shareholders. The transaction helped shift Agility’s profile from an integrated freight-forwarding operator toward a diversified owner and investor with exposure to logistics through its DSV holding and through other operating platforms. Agility Global’s portfolio later included an interest in Reem Mall in Abu Dhabi. The retail and entertainment complex opened to visitors in 2023 and includes more than 400 stores, over 80 dining outlets and Snow Abu Dhabi, an indoor snow park. Agility Global began trading on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange in 2024, formalizing the public-market identity of the diversified group. The company’s current portfolio includes Menzies Aviation, Tristar and Agility Logistics Parks as principal operating businesses, alongside activities in e-commerce logistics, remote-site services and public-sector logistics. Other associated businesses include Alliad, Agility Defense & Government Services, Shipa, Labco, United Projects for Aviation Services Company and MicroClear by Inspection & Control Services. Agility’s sustainability approach uses group-level oversight combined with business-specific roadmaps. The group has reported that companies representing more than 96% of its workforce and more than 90% of its greenhouse-gas emissions have committed to net-zero emissions by 2050 or earlier. It also reports work on renewable energy, energy efficiency, resource conservation, education, digital skilling and humanitarian relief. Since 2006, Agility has participated in the Logistics Emergency Team, a partnership of major logistics companies supporting humanitarian operations through the United Nations World Food Programme-led Logistics Cluster.
