According to the official website, the publishing house A. Pedone has, since the 1860s, had an editorial policy of accepting manuscripts and works contributing to the development of law in international relations. The website also mentions that Auguste Durand obtained his bookseller's certificate on 22 February 1838, and that his son-in-law Guillaume Pedone-Lauriel opened the catalogue to law. Later, Auguste devoted the editorial policy entirely to international law and in 1894 created the Revue générale de droit international public.
