A Cleaner World was founded in 1969 when it opened its first location in High Point, N.C. In 1981, Ray W. Edwards purchased the company. Under his leadership, it expanded to Southwest Virginia, the Triangle area, and parts of Western North Carolina. In 1996, Christopher T. Edwards became president. The company now has 27 locations.
