    Former Chairman Zheng Junhuai Sentenced to 6 Years in First Instance for Misappropriation of Public Funds

    In December 2005, Yili's former chairman and president Zheng Junhuai was sentenced in the first instance to six years in prison for the crime of misappropriating public funds. The court found that he participated in misappropriating 16.5 million yuan and used other companies to purchase Yili shares to seek personal gain; several former executives in the same case were also sentenced.
