Wine Tasmania was established in late 2006 as a company limited by guarantee. It is the peak body for the island's wine producers, with voluntary membership representing more than 98% of Tasmanian wine production through 125 state-wide wine producer members, 122 associated member businesses and 5 Life Members. Its headquarters are in Hobart, in offices shared with the Tourism Industry Council of Tasmania.
