History
A part of the former Viscose area in Emmenbrücke has been called Viscosistadt for several years. On an area as large as Lucerne's old town, a district with industrial charm has emerged, where work, education, culture, and living find space. The Viscosistadt AG took over the remaining area at the beginning of 2014 and is developing it step by step from an industrial area into a diverse urban quarter. The new quarter is complemented by a 16,000 square meter park directly on the banks of the Kleine Emme. The Viscosistadt is part of the Luzern Nord area development.
