Overview
Vickers-Armstrongs was a British engineering conglomerate formed in 1927 by the merger of Vickers Limited and Armstrong Whitworth. It produced warships, artillery, aircraft, and armored vehicles, including the Churchill tank and Wellington bomber. It was gradually dismantled in the 1960s, with parts merging into British Aircraft Corporation.
