Valtris Specialty Chemicals was formed in 2014. In 2016, Valtris acquired Akcros Chemicals including the Eccles, UK manufacturing and research & development facility. In 2018, Valtris acquired INEOS Chlorotoluenes business including manufacturing sites in Belgium and the Netherlands, and acquired INEOS Specialty Esters and Champlor businesses including manufacturing site in France. In 2020, expanded Benzyl Chloride and Orth-chloro Benzyl Chloride production capacity in Tessenderlo, Belgium. In 2021, expanded Benzaldehyde production capacity in Tessenderlo, Belgium, completed construction of new Stabilizer operation in Mumbai, India, and launched Santicizer® Platinum G-2000, a bio-based plasticizer.
