History
The history of Titgemeyer is closely linked to the development of industry and technology over the last 120 years. The company was founded by brothers Adolf and Fritz Titgemeyer in Melle as a wholesale business for wagon construction, blacksmith supplies, and tools. It later moved to Osnabrück and operated as 'Gebr. Titgemeyer Osnabrück'. Over the years, it expanded its product range and acquired its first subsidiary, AGIL, Berlin. During a bombing raid on Osnabrück, the business and office building was completely destroyed, and Adolf Titgemeyer, his wife, and many employees lost their lives. Wilhelm Karmann helped keep the wholesale business going. During a front leave, the brothers Ernst-Adolf and Walter Titgemeyer relocated the wholesale operation to Bad Rothenfelde.
