ThreeBond

ThreeBond is a Japanese company that started with the liquid gasket 'ThreeBond 1' in 1955. It offers over 1,600 products including sealants, adhesives, potting agents, and more, serving markets such as transportation, electrical/electronic, and construction. The company operates globally with production bases in six regions including Japan, North/Central America, South America, Europe, Asia, and China.

ThreeBond was founded in 1955 when the founder, 鵜久森税, established Tokyo ThreeBond Co., Ltd. in Koto-ku, Tokyo, and created the liquid gasket 'ThreeBond 1'. In 1961, ThreeBond Chemical Co., Ltd. was established, later becoming ThreeBond Polymer Co., Ltd. In 1964, it became the first factory in Japan to receive JIS mark permission for liquid gaskets. In 1967, the head office and research institute were moved to Hachioji, Tokyo. In 1970, the company name was changed to ThreeBond Co., Ltd. with the desire to become a more global company. From 1970 to 1977, the first overseas office was established in Los Angeles, which became ThreeBond America, Inc. in 1973, and local subsidiaries were established in Brazil, Germany, and France. In 1985, the baseball team advanced to the best 8 in the 56th Intercity Baseball Tournament. From 1995 to 1998, the company acquired ISO9001 and QS9000 certifications. In 2001, ThreeBond Co., Ltd., ThreeBond Polymer Co., Ltd., and ThreeBond Logistics Co., Ltd. registered ISO14001. From 2007 to 2012, ThreeBond Polymer Co., Ltd. built a new factory in Sagamihara, Kanagawa, and opened a new research institute on the same site in 2012. In 2014, with the shift to a holding company system, ThreeBond Fine Chemical Co., Ltd. was established, and the first Japanese store of '京華小吃' (Jinghua) opened in Ginza. In 2015, the head office of ThreeBond Co., Ltd. was moved to Minamiosawa, Hachioji. In 2025, the company celebrated its 70th anniversary.
