Superior Graphite is a company that specializes in thermal purification, advanced sizing, blending and coating technologies providing graphite and carbon based solutions. Since 1917, it has been committed to adapting to changing business conditions. In the late 1970s, it invented a patented furnace technology that led to the introduction of large scale continuous Electro-Thermal Treatment/Purification Technology. The company has also developed continuous graphitization processes. Recently, ExxonMobil has acquired key assets and technology from Superior Graphite to support its planned entry into the battery anode graphite market.
