Ahold Delhaize reports network security incident, takes systems offline; Albert Heijn deliveries halted
Ahold Delhaize separately reported a network security issue and took several systems offline as a precaution. Its Dutch supermarket chain Albert Heijn said grocery deliveries were unavailable because of a cybersecurity incident; online orders account for approximately 10 percent of Albert Heijn sales while physical stores remained open. Websites for US chains Stop & Shop, Giant, Hannaford and Food Lion also displayed temporary outage notices. Ahold Delhaize said there was no reason to link its incident with the French refrigeration attacks.
