Stolichnye Apteki

Stolichnye Apteki is a pharmacy chain in Moscow, Russia. Its history traces back to a 1912 law that allowed zemstvos to open pharmacies, leading to the creation of the Moscow pharmacy network. The company was reorganized in 2004 into the State Unitary Enterprise 'Stolichnye Apteki' and later privatized in 2013 to become OJSC 'Stolichnye Apteki', now JSC 'Stolichnye Apteki'.

The history of the company originates from the law 'On some changes in the procedure for opening pharmacies' approved on February 12, 1912 by Emperor Nicholas II, which eliminated the state pharmacy monopoly and allowed zemstvos to open pharmacies in any quantity. This led to the creation of the Moscow pharmacy network. In 2004, by order of the Moscow Government, pharmacy enterprises were reorganized by merger into the State Unitary Enterprise 'Stolichnye Apteki'. In 2013, the enterprise was privatized and OJSC 'Stolichnye Apteki' was created, the legal successor of which became JSC 'Stolichnye Apteki'.
