Spadel

Spadel is a family group of natural mineral waters, spring waters and refreshing mineral water drinks. It is a regional leader in natural mineral water brands, with a mission to offer a refreshing, hydrating, and natural choice to consumers across Europe. The group is known for its sustainable development focus and has obtained BCorp certification for all its brands.

Spadel's history has been built slowly over the years, with innovations driven by the du Bois family. Key milestones include: 1583 Spa water begins to be bottled and exported to France; 1624 an ordinance forbids mixing city water with Spa springs; 1772 a decree protects aquifer sources; 1889 first protection perimeter created; 1912 foundation of S.A. Compagnie Fermière des Eaux et des Bains de Spa; 1921 transformation into Spa Monopole; 1931 creation of the Henrijean Institute; 1942 Ernest du Bois acquires rival brand Chevron.
