Schiffswerft Bolle

Schiffswerft Bolle is a shipyard in Derben, Germany, founded in 1861. It is currently led by the sixth generation and has built 258 new vessels since 1990. The yard constructs ships in steel and aluminum, including hybrid and electric propulsion vessels.

The shipyard was founded in 1861 at the Pareyer Verbindungskanal near Derben under the name 'Schiffswerft Gebrüder Bolle'. It remained in private family ownership until 1972, when it was expropriated by the DDR and converted into a Volkseigener Betrieb (VEB). In 1990, with the end of the DDR, the yard returned to family ownership. Since then, 258 new builds have been launched. Today, it is led by Dipl.-Wirtsch.-Ing. Mario Bolle, representing the sixth generation.
