Pentalift Equipment Corporation, founded in 1983 in Guelph, Ontario, is one of North America's largest manufacturers of loading dock equipment, lift tables, and positioning equipment. The company provides a complete line of mechanical, air powered, and hydraulic dock levelers, vehicle restraint safety systems, dock seals, and dock lifts, as well as hydraulic and pneumatic lift tables.
History
Pentalift Equipment Corporation was founded in May 1983 by Arne Pedersen and his sons in Guelph, Ontario. In 1984, the company built a dealer network across Canada. In 1986, it entered the American market with distributors in several states. In 1987, it moved to a larger facility. In 1991, it expanded overseas with a distributor in France and opened a second plant to manufacture dock seals and shelters. In 1995, it purchased a third building. In 2000, it added 45,000 sq. ft. to its manufacturing plant. In 2008, it celebrated its 25th anniversary. In 2013, it was noted as the largest manufacturer of in-plant lifts and positioning tables in Canada.
