Operail is the railway logistics brand of an Estonian state-owned group headquartered in Tallinn. The company began in 2009 as EVR Cargo, a freight-focused subsidiary of Eesti Raudtee, Estonia’s national railway company. It was legally separated from Eesti Raudtee in 2012 while remaining under the ownership of the Estonian state.
