Nøgne Ø has been ranked among the world's 100 best breweries (ratebeer.com) for many years and has won hundreds of medals and awards. History
Nøgne Ø was started in a garage in Bergermoen in Grimstad in 2002. The following years were characterized by volunteer work, slow sales and little attention to craft beer, and it took a few years before Nøgne Ø could stand on its own two feet. In 2005 we moved to the Old Rygene Power Station and in 2016 the new brewery building was put into use, next door to the Old Rygene Power Station. And still in Grimstad.
