History

News Network International (NNI) was founded in 1992 by the late Hafiz Abdul Khaliq. Hafiz Abdul Khaliq began his journalistic journey in Chandiwala, District Khanewal, Punjab. He worked as a reporter for the Urdu daily 'Insaniyat' in Vehari, later became District Correspondent for 'Nawa-e-Waqt', and Bureau Chief for 'Jasarat' in Multan and Lahore. In Islamabad, he served as Editor of the city's first Urdu daily 'Markaz' and contributed to Karachi's weekly 'Takbeer' and Islamabad's weekly 'Hurmat'. He passed away on July 4, 1999. Today, his son Ammar Khaliq continues his mission, leading NNI.
